01Acceptance

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Decompute website, gateway software, command-line tools, VS Code extension, or related services (together, the "Services"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions ("Terms") and to our Privacy Policy. If you are using the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

02Definitions

"Decompute", "we", "us" refers to the provider of the Services. "Software" means the Decompute gateway, CLI, SDK, and VS Code extension. "Claude" refers to the AI services provided by Anthropic. "You" refers to the individual or entity using the Services.

03License to use the software

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Software for your internal development purposes. The Software is licensed, not sold. Except where permitted by applicable law or an applicable open-source license, you may not resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Software, remove proprietary notices, or attempt to circumvent licensing, quota, or entitlement controls.

04Your responsibilities

You bring your own Claude access. You are responsible for:

• obtaining and securing your own Anthropic API key or Claude subscription, and keeping your credentials confidential;
• all activity and all charges incurred under your Anthropic account when requests are routed through the gateway;
• complying with Anthropic's applicable terms and usage policies, and with all applicable laws;
• the content you process and your own backups, review of sensitive data, and configuration choices.

05Relationship to Anthropic

Decompute is an independent tool that optimizes Claude traffic. We do not host, provide, or control Claude, and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by Anthropic. Anthropic, Claude, and Claude Code are trademarks of Anthropic. We do not control Claude's availability, models, output, or pricing, and we are not responsible for Anthropic's services.

06Paid plans & billing

Some features require a paid plan ("Pro"). Paid plans are billed through our payment processor, Stripe, on a recurring basis (for example monthly or annually) until cancelled. By subscribing you authorize recurring charges to your payment method.

• Cancellation. You may cancel at any time from the billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.
• Taxes. Prices exclude taxes unless stated; applicable taxes are added at checkout.
• Price changes. We may change plan pricing or features on a prospective basis, with notice for active subscriptions; changes do not affect the current paid period.

07Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Services. You will not use them to violate any law or third-party rights, to transmit malware, to gain unauthorized access to systems, to interfere with or overload the Services, or to circumvent security, licensing, or usage limits.

08Intellectual property

The Software, the website, and all related materials, including the Decompute name and logo, are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the license granted above, no rights are transferred to you. Feedback you choose to provide may be used by us without restriction.

09Third-party services

The Services interoperate with third parties — including Anthropic (Claude), Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (distribution), and Vercel (website hosting). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.

10Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free. Token, cost, and savings figures are estimates and depend on your usage; we do not guarantee any particular savings, output quality, or result.

11Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DECOMPUTE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES — INCLUDING ANY CHARGES INCURRED ON YOUR ANTHROPIC ACCOUNT. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICES IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD 50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

12Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Decompute harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Services, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

13Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or to comply with law. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including IP, disclaimers, liability limits, and indemnification) will survive.

14Changes

We may modify the Services or these Terms. When we change the Terms, we will update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide reasonable notice. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

15Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Decompute is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts of that jurisdiction will have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory local law provides otherwise.
